Dead Growers Club

Conceptual Project

Illustration, branding, package design, typography

In my spare time, I love to explore conceptual art/design projects, in which I combine my favourite mediums, namely illustration and typography.

My aims is to bring these worlds together in a way that challenges myself and design practices.

Dead Grower’s Club is an example of this. It is a conceptual gardening company build around..... “extreme permaculture” let’s say. Basically they use human remains as fertiliser as an organic gardening solution. Don’t worry it is a joke.

The brand was largely inspired by work from the art-nouveau movement in the early 20th century, combining intricate illustration with ornate typography.

Combining this with a modern approach to layout created a brand which is able to be elaborate whilst maintaining an effective visual language.
